Embedded Cross Trigger (ECT) System
The ECT system provides a mechanism for HPS modules to trigger each other. The ECT consists of the
following modules:
• Cross Trigger Interface (CTI)
• Cross Trigger Matrix (CTM)

The following figure shows how CTIs and CTMs are used in a generic ECT setup. The red line depicts an
trigger input to one CTI generating a trigger output in another CTI. Though the signal travels throughout
channel 2, it only enters and exits through trigger inputs and outputs you configure.
