Command Reference Guide
debug spanning-tree
Use the debug spanning-tree command to enable the display of spanning-tree debug messages. Debug
messages are displayed (real time) on the terminal (or Telnet) screen. Use the no form of this command to
disable the debug messages. Variations of this command include:
debug spanning-tree config
debug spanning-tree events
debug spanning-tree general
debug spanning-tree topology
Turning on a large amount of debug information can adversely affect the performance of
your unit.

Default Values
By default, all debug messages in AOS are disabled.

Usage Examples
The following example enables the display of general spanning-tree debug messages:
>enable
#debug spanning-tree general

debug spanning-tree bpdu on page 365
Enables the display of spanning-tree debug messages when configuration
changes occur.
Enables the display of debug messages when spanning-tree protocol
events occur.
Enables the display of general spanning-tree debug messages.
Enables the display of debug messages when spanning-tree protocol
topology events occur.
Command was introduced.
Command was expanded to include topology.
