8-bit host microcontroller is the SPI master. The processor can be booted
via its SPI interface to allow application code and data to be downloaded
prior to runtime.

Figure 10-5 illustrates an example of an ADSP-2126x SPI interface where
the processor is the SPI master. When it uses the SPI interface, the proces-
sor can be directed to alter the conversion resources, mute the sound,
modify the volume, and power down the AD1855 stereo DAC.

SPI General Operations

The SPI in the ADSP-2126x processor can be used in a single master as
well as in a multimaster environment. In both configurations, every
