Switch Input

If a device that is suitable as switch input (e. g. a door terminal with door bell buttons) is
connected to the PBX, it can then be used to trigger a door call or an alarm.

Creating a Switch Input

Switch input connected to the PBX which are to be used to initiate a door call or trigger an alarm
must first be created in the configuration of the PBX.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for alarms (see chapter Functions > Alarm > Creating a Switch Input and
Assigning it to the Alarm)
• Separately for door terminals (see chapter Functions > Door Functions > Creating a Door
Call and Assigning it to the Door Terminal)

Entering the DTMF Sequence

The PBX can detect the actuation of a door bell button, for example, and then trigger an alarm
or a door call. To detect the actuation of a door bell button, the PBX needs to know which DTMF
sequence the connected device sends in this case (see manual and settings of the device in
question).
Note: The DTMF sequence usually is the phone number assigned to the door
bell button within the door terminal.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for switch inputs
• Using the configuration manager
