Baby Call

The baby call function provides a service in which after a configured delay time after picking up
the receiver, a phone number is automatically dialled to call an internal or external subscriber.
This means, no key needs to be pressed. However, if a telephone is dialled manually within the
configured delay time, it has priority. It must be noted that on some telephones, the numbers
dialled are not sent immediately when the keys are pressed (often there is approx. a half
second delay).
Note: The baby call function is not available for VoIP telephones.

Switching Baby Call On/Off

If baby call is enabled, after picking up the receiver, the phone number entered is automatically
dialled.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Separately for configurations
• Using the configuration manager
• Using a character string on the internal telephone (see section Short Reference)
Note:
As described in the following, the setting is also possible via profiles (... >
Profiles > Configuration > Configure > ...). If the check box Profile-
controlled settings has been selected, the property set in the right-hand
column will apply. For assignment of the profile, see chapter Settings >
Profiles.
A special dial tone can be configured to uniquely signal an enabled baby call
function when the receiver is picked up.
On a standard VoIP telephone or VoIP system telephone the baby call
function is not available.
