Contact Groups

To help you arrange the contents of large address books, e.g. by department, you can create
and assign up to 20 contact groups for the contacts in All contacts view.
The Telephone book version 1 contact group is created automatically.
Using the Telephone book version 1 contact group is the only way to make contacts available
to older system telephones (COMfortel 1100, 1500, 2500 (AB), VoIP 2500 AB). As the
telephone books used in these system telephones are limited to 400 contacts, the Telephone
book version 1 contact group is also limited to a maximum of 400 contacts. In addition, these
telephones can only display one phone number from the address book of the PBX for each
contact. For these telephones, a separate contact for each phone number must be created in
the Telephone book version 1 contact group.
