Room Monitoring
If you like to listen into a room, you can use the Room Monitoring function of the PBX. The
internal telephone has to be configured for this function. Room Monitoring can be done with an
internal as well as an external telephone.
After the configuration the receiver will be placed near the telephone. A secret monitoring is not
possible.
Switching Room Monitoring On/Off
If room monitoring is enabled for a subscriber, you can listen into the room where the telephone
in question is located.
Proceed as follows:
• Using a character string on the internal telephone
1. Pick up the receiver.
2. Dial ##8*61#
Note:
You cannot make calls from the configured telephone, and normal calls to the
telephone are not possible.
It is only possible to enable a single telephone for room monitoring at the
same time.
Further steps:
• Replace the receiver of the telephone to disable room monitoring.
