Information on Online Name Search

Online Name Search
The online name search lets you accept names to put with existing phone numbers via a
service provider on the Internet.
Information on Online Name Search
There are different ways of using the online name search:
Incoming calls
If a phone number is transmitted during an incoming call, the entries in the telephone books
(PBX, system telephone) are checked and, if necessary, an associated name is displayed and
saved in the call data list.
If the phone number transmitted is not found in the telephone books, the function attempts an
online name search of the name for the phone number on a server on the Internet that offers a
search service. If the server is accessible and the desired data is stored there, this information
is transferred to the telephone. The name is shown on the display of a system telephone
(optional, see telephone manual) and saved in the External partner column of the call data list.
Call data list
Clicking
in the
External partner
column of the call data list adds the name to the call data
record after the fact using the online name search function. The name can also be verified and
updated.
Clicking
in the External name column of the call data list transfers the phone number and
name of the external calling partner into the PBX telephone book.

Switching the Online Name Search On/Off

If the online name search has been switched on, the PBX attempts to obtain the missing name
from the selected service provider.
Proceed as follows:
