Voice Mailbox
Saving, Recording, Listening to, and Deleting Announcements for Voice Mailboxes
Save Announcements for the Voice Mailbox from the PC in the PBX
You can save up to 10 announcements (audio files (*.wav)) lasting a maximum of 3 minutes
each for each voice mailbox from the PC on the USB data storage device.
The audio files (*.wav) must have the following properties:
• Format: 16 kHz, 16-bit, PCM, mono or 8 kHz, 8-bit, mono, A-law
• File name: up to 32 characters
Note: On the German Auerswald Internet page, audio files can be converted
into the audio format required for the PBX (see
service). Audio files (*.mp3, *.wav or *.raw), for example, can be converted
into the audio format G.711 (*.wav) with the Audio Converter.
Requirements:
• Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)
• An audio file (*.wav) saved on a data medium (PC)
1. Open the page Boxes > Voice mail/fax boxes > Properties.
2. In the list field at the top, use the relevant voice mailbox's name or number to select
them.
3. Click the Announcements tab.
4. In the list field, select one of the following options:
Announcement 1, duration x sec. to 10, duration x sec.: Overwrites the
appropriate announcement (announcement 1 to 10) on the memory card.
5. Click Browse (this text is dependent on the browser used) under Store in the PBX.
6. Select the required file and then click Open (this text is dependent on the operating
system used).
The path and the file name are displayed in a field before Browse.
7. Click
Save.
