Call Waiting

If you are already in a call, the call waiting function notifies you using the call waiting tone when
another communication partner is calling.
Note: As of firmware 6.6 (PBX) and 2.4 (VoIP telephone) a comparison
between telephone and PBX will be implemented. This function can then be
switched on or off in the telephone or the PBX.

Switching Call Waiting On/Off

If call waiting is switched on, you will be notified of any incoming calls if already on another call.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Using the configuration manager
• Using the menu/function key on a system telephone (optional, see the telephone manual)
1. Open the following page:
• For admin: Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Reachability
• For user: Subscriber Properties > Reachability.
2. In the list field at the top, select the subscriber in question by his name or number.
3. Select or clear the Call waiting check box.
Further steps:
• When using an ISDN telephone: If necessary, also enable call waiting on the telephone
itself (see the telephone manual).
