Number Presentation (Outgoing)
Suppressing Number Presentation
Phone number suppression for VoIP calls is possible but it is not always
supported by the providers.
If an emergency number is called while phone number suppression is
enabled, phone number suppression is disabled once so that the emergency
service can identify the caller.
Under Subscribers (scr.) > Properties > Exchange line settings, you can make the following
settings:
• If the number presentation only needs to be suppressed call by call, the number
presentation (outgoing) must be configured as Standard or Exchange line dependent.
For the Exchange line dependent option, each exchange line can have an individual
number presented to the network provider or to the caller separately. The number
presentation to the caller is suppressed by the telephone before starting a call. The number
presentation to the network provider is not suppressed by the telephone.
• If the number presentation should always be suppressed, the number presentation
(outgoing) must be configured as Exchange line dependent. For each exchange line can
a separate number be presented to the network provider. To keep these numbers from
being presented to the caller, number presentation can be suppressed per exchange line
separately.
• If number presentation needs to be suppressed between the PBX and the network provider,
the number presentation (outgoing) must also be configured as No.
