Entering the Update Server Address

Requirements:
• PBX connected to broadband Internet access
• Configured address of the update server
• A configured DNS server and, if necessary, an HTTP proxy server
• COMfortel 2500, COMfortel 1500, COMfortel 1100: Entered phone number of the update
server (+49 5306 9200510) into the telephones (e.g. via COMfortel Set)
1. Open the page Administration > Firmware update/restart.
2. Select or clear the COMfortel firmware update check box under Regular firmware
updates (firmware update for all connected COMfortel system telephones).
3. In the Interval list field, select one of the available options.
4. In the Period list field, select the time when the regular firmware update will be
performed.

• In order to use new features after a firmware update, you normally need a new version of
the Operation Guide. This is available on the Internet (see www.auerswald.de/service).
Entering the Update Server Address
The address for the update server must be entered for instant firmware updates via the update
server. The factory settings are already configured with the address of the update server.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page Administration > Firmware update/restart.
2. In the Address of the update server entry field under FIRMWARE UPDATE VIA
UPDATE SERVER, enter the address of the update server (www.auerswald-
update.de). Possible entries:
Four blocks with three digits for IPv4 addresses
Eight blocks with four digits or characters for IPv6 addresses
