Requirements:
• Disabled DHCP client
1. Open the page Administration > IP configuration.
2. In the Gateway entry field under ETHERNET CONFIGURATION, enter the IPv4
address of the Gateway. Possible entries:
IPv4 address with a range of 0 to 255 (example: 192.168.0.2)

Switching the Permanent IP Address from the APIPA Address Range On/Off

If the permanent IP address form the APIPA address range is enabled, you can access the PBX
under certain conditions via the permanent IP address 169.254.1.240.
• The PBX is not connected to a router but is connected directly to a single PC which receives
its IP address automatically (default setting on Windows and Mac OS X)
• The PBX is connected to a router that works as a DHCP server and allocates IP addresses
to the devices connected (default setting on most routers)
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page Administration > IP configuration.
2. Select or clear the Permanent IP address form the APIPA address range check
box under ETHERNET CONFIGURATION.

Switching UPnP On/Off

If UPnP is enabled on the PBX and if the UPnP service is installed and enabled on the PC being
used, the PBX is identified and selected as the "Auerswald PBX" device in the network
environment.
Note: In the factory settings, UPnP is enabled.
