Configuring the Exchange Line Access Number

Requirements:
• System-wide automatic exchange line request switched off and entered exchange line
access number (page Public switched tel. networks > Exchange line request)
1. Open the page Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Settings.
2. In the list field above, select the corresponding subscriber by his name/number.
3. In the list field Exchange line request, under Special functions, select one of the
following options:
Internal telephone: For external calls, the prefix of the
number
Direct exchange line telephone: When picking up the receiver, an external
line is requested instantly. For internal calls, the prefix
Direct exchange line request: The PBX automatically distinguishes between
internal and external numbers with the analysis of the digit sequence and the
adjustment of the dialled phone number and the internal numbering plan.
Notes:
The selection Direct exchange line request is only available for IP DECT
telephones. If you want to use this function for other telephones, you must
switch on the system-wide automatic exchange line request (page Adminis-
tration > Exchange line request).
The behaviour of the IP system telephones when picking up the receiver,
depends on the default account selection (see operation guide of the
telephone). For some IP system telephones, the default account can be
determined by the settings for the exchange line request of the PBX.
Configuring the Exchange Line Access Number
The exchange line access number is required to request an external line (exception: direct
exchange access and automatic exchange line request).
Note: An available external line is indicated by the external dial tone after the
exchange line access number has been dialled. The external number can
then be dialled.
