Configuring the Authentication Type of the Outgoing Mail Server

Note: In the factory settings, the port is set to 25.
Configuring the Authentication Type of the Outgoing Mail Server
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for outgoing mail servers.
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Knowledge of the access data for the outgoing mail server
1. Open the page Administration > E-mail > Outgoing mail server.
2. In the list field at the top, select an outgoing mail server according to its name.
3. In the Authentication type list field, select one of the following options:
No authentication: Disables authentication.
User name / Password (AUTH PLAIN): Enables authentication via password.
User name / Password (AUTH LOGIN): Enables authentication via password.
MD5 challenge-response (AUTH CRAM-MD5): Enables authentication via
MD5 challenge-response (MD5 = Message-Digest Algorithm 5).
automatically: The authentication type is set automatically.
Further steps:
• With enabled authentication: Enter user name and password.
