Retrieving a MAC Address from a Client Certificate

The MAC address is displayed in the list field.

Retrieving a MAC Address from a Client Certificate
When an IP telephone COMfortel 1400 IP/2600 IP/3600 IP is subscribed on the PBX, it
automatically sends its MAC address. The MAC address can then be selected in the configu-
ration manager.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page Subscriber (scr.) > Properties.
2. In the list field at the top, select the subscriber in question by his/her name or number.
3. Open the page VoIP settings.
4. In the list field Assigning the MAC address of the device under found devices
select the corresponding MAC address.
5. Cick Save.

Manually Entering a MAC Address

If the MAC address cannot automatically be taken from a client certificate and no barcode
scanner is available, you can enter the MAC address manually.
You can find the MAC address of your IP telephone:
• on the label on the bottom of the telephone, together with the corresponding bar code,
• in the telephone menu (under Apps > Settings > About phone > Hardware info > MAC
adress).
