Creating a Google Contact Group
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page User data > Address books > Contact groups.
2. Click New.
This opens a new entry field in the Contact groups column. This field is prefilled with
Name.
3. Enter a name for the new Google contact group. You cannot enter names twice (each
name must be unique).
4. Select one of the following options:
Standard contact group: contact groups for the COMfortel 1400 IP/2600 IP/
3200/3500/3600 IP and COMfortel 1200/1400/1600/2600 system telephones
with a maximum of 2000 contacts.
Google contact group: contact groups for COMfortel DECT 900C handsets
with a maximum of 250 entries.
Note: If you do not select a type, the new contact group is automatically
assigned the type Standard contact group. It is not possible to change the
contact group type afterwards.
5. Click Save.
6. Enter the e-mail address of the Gmail account in the Google user name entry field
under ACCESS DATA.
7. Enter the password of the Gmail account in the Password entry field under ACCESS
DATA.
Note: Passwords can be shown without encryption so that they can be
changed (Edit passwords).
8. Click Ok to test the access data and the Internet access of the PBX.
If the access data are correct and access to the Internet is available, the contact
groups of the Gmail account are displayed in the Google contact groups list field.
Note: If an error message regarding access to the Internet is displayed,
check the IP configuration of the PBX under Administration > IP configu-
