Installing Cable between External Analogue Port and Analogue Connection

Note: If the analogue connection is relatively far away from the PBX, a cable
with wall socket must first be laid.
• The RJ-11/RJ-11 connection cable included in the scope of delivery of the COMpact 2FXO
module
• In Germany, the RJ-11/TAE-F adapter included in the scope of delivery of the COMpact
2FXO module
1. Insert one end of the connection cable into the RJ-45 socket of the external analogue
port.
2. Proceed as follows:
• In Germany: Insert the other end of the connection cable into the RJ-11 socket of
the adapter.
• Outside Germany: Insert the other end of the connection cabel into the RJ-11 wall
socket of the network provider.
3. Only in Germany: Insert the TAE-F plug of the adapter into the TAE-F wall socket of
the network provider.
Warning: Voltages that run through the connection socket of the network
provider can cause life-threatening electric shocks.
• Do not connect the PBX until the casing on the connection socket of the

Requirements:
• Inserted COMpact 2FXO module
• Maximum distance/line length between socket and PBX, depending on the cable used (with
a pair diameter of 0.6 mm: approximately 800 m )
• Installation cable (for example, J Y (St) Y 2 x 2 x 0.6) with the following characteristics:
– 4-core
