Switching RSS Feed Initiation On/Off

RSS Feed
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based file format. A subscribed RSS feed automat-
ically delivers new messages which can then be read in special newsreaders or in current
browsers (e.g., Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome).
Switching RSS Feed Initiation On/Off
If RSS feed initiation has been enabled (Number of provided RSS feeds > 0), incoming
messages (voice messages and faxes) and missed calls are signaled by an RSS feed.
Important: A restart, e.g. after a power failure or a firmware update, deletes
the entries of the RSS feed in the PBX. Entries which have already been
queried may still exist in the newsreader/browser.
Note:
In an RSS feed, a maximum of the 25 most current entries is displayed.
Listening to, deleting, or moving messages does not delete the entry in the
RSS feed.
The Number of provided RSS feeds per PBX is limited to 40.
In an RSS feed, the soft call function can be used to allow an external
subscriber to be dialled directly.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)
1. Open the following page:
• For admin: Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Settings
• For user: Subscriber Properties > Settings.
2. In the list field at the top, select the subscriber in question by his name or number.
