Replacing the Power Supply Cable

If the power supply cable has been damaged, it can be removed and replaced by a new cable.
Warning: Improper handling of the device can cause life-threatening
electric shocks and can damage or destroy the PBX.
• Only a qualified electrician may open the casing and perform installation
Warning: Touching voltage-carrying conductors or telephone connections
can cause life-threatening electric shocks.
• The PBX contains hazardous voltages, even outside the power supply

Requirements:
• New power supply cable (available from distriCOM, see www.districom.de)
1. Power down the PBX (see chapter Service and Maintenance > Powering Down and
Switching Off > Powering the PBX Down).
2. Pull out the power plug from the mains socket.
3. Disconnect the power supply from the COMpact 4000 Interface board.
4. Loosen the the holding bracket of the power supply by pressing the right-hand side of
the bracket down and toward the power supply.
5. Remove the cable from the strain relief bracket.
6. Pull the connector of the power supply cable off the power supply.
