Dialling from Within the Contacts (Soft Call)

Dialling from Within the Contacts (Soft Call)
The soft call function enables subscribers who are logged on as users or sub-administrators
(not as administrators) to dial an external number directly from the address books, using the
PBX configuration manager.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Configuration manager, opened with the authorisation of a user or sub-admin
• Contact group authorisation for at least one contact group assigned to the subscriber
• The contact's phone number must have been entered as the first phone number in the basic
data
1. Open the page Contacts & assignment.
All contacts view appears.
2. Limit your search:
• By contact group: click a contact group.
• Using the filter: enter at least one character or one digit in the Filter line in one or
more of the entry fields.
• Using the tabs: click All, Contacts without contact groups, or an initial letter.
3. In the line that contains the required contact, click
The dialogue Shall a Softcall be initiated? appears.
4. Click Yes.
The PBX dials the phone number of the user's internal telephone.
5. Follow these steps:
• On a system telephone, you do not need to accept the call because the
connection is set up immediately. Take the call as soon as the called subscriber
responds.
• On an analogue telephone, an ISDN telephone or a standard SIP telephone, you
need to accept the call by picking up the receiver or pressing the Hook button.
This then sets up the connection.
