Switching System-wide Automatic Exchange Line Request On/Off

If the system-wide automatic exchange line request ist enabled, the PBX automatically distin-
guishes for each subscriber between internal and external numbers by analysing the digit
sequence and the adjustment of the dialled phone number with the internal numbering plan.
If the system-wide automatic exchange line request is disabled, the exchange line request type
can be set separately for each subscriber.
Important: After a firmware update from an older firmware version to version
6.6, the system-wide automatic exchange line request is at first switched off.
If the system-wide automatic exchange line request is switched on, you must
note the following for the conversion of the existing telephones.
COMfortel 600: For all phone numbers that are entered in the configuration
of the telephone (concerns speed dialling keys and telephone book), possibly
entered exchange line access numbers or ** (initiation of internal numbers in
the direct exchange line telephone) must be deleted.
Proceed as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Emergency call only with disabled exchange line access number (page Public switched
tel. networks > Emergency calls)
1. Open the page Public switched tel. networks > Exchange line request.
2. Select or clear the System-wide automatic exchange line request check box.

Proceed as follows:
• Spearately for each subscriber
• Via the configuration manager
