Note: Once you have used the PBX configuration manager to configure the
SIPS function for encrypting internal VoIP calls, you can also use this function
on standard VoIP end devices that support SIPS. For this purpose you need
to read out the trusted root certificate from the PBX and then save it in the
phone. For more information, read the instructions of the telephone.

Commissioning VoIP System Telephones

Requirements:
• Internal number configured for VoIP (see chapter Settings > Internal Telephone Numbers >
Creating VoIP or IP DECT Subscribers)
• User password configured for the internal number
• PBX connected to earthing (see chapter Installation and Commissioning > Preparation
(COMpact 4000) > Connecting to Earthing)
1. Establish a connection between the telephone and the power supply (see Setup
Guide of the corresponding telephone).
2. Select the language.
3. When configuring the end device, create a provider named "PBX" and then enter the
PBX IP address as the registrar and domain.
4. When configuring the end device, create an account for the provider "PBX" and enter
the internal number for the user name and the associated user password as the
password.
5. Select the Auerswald system telephone check box.
6. Select the Use check box.
The end device logs on to the PBX.
Note: For this exceution, it is required that the telephone is operated as
DHCP client in the network. If this is not the case, read the instructions of the
telephone.
