Call Channel Reservation

If a group of subscribers should have the option of making an external call at any time, the B
channels on an external ISDN connection can be reserved for the group.

Switching Call Channel Reservation On/Off

If call channel reservation is enabled for a group, for outgoing external calls of the group, B
channels of an external exchange line will be reserved. These B channels are never available
to the other subscribers or groups.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for groups
• Separately for configurations
• Using the configuration manager
Note: As described in the following, the setting is also possible via profiles (...
> Profiles > Configuration > Configure > ...). If the check box Profile-
controlled settings has been selected, the property set in the right-hand
column will apply. For assignment of the profile, see chapter Settings >
Profiles.

1. Open the page Groups > Properties > Reachability.
2. In the list field at the top, select the group in question by its name or number.
3. In the Reserved B channels of connection list field, select one of the following
options:
no exchange line: Disables the call channel reservation. (No other action is
required.)
External exchange line: For outgoing external calls of the group, the selected
external exchange line will be reserved.
