Alarm Device

The alarm device function permits calls from internal subscribers to be signalled as alarm calls
on system telephones. Such alarm calls need not be acknowledged. Accepting the call results
in a normal internal call.
Note: It makes sense to use the alarm device function in combination with
special calling systems such as the GIRA calling system 834 plus, for
example. Combined with the transmission of the display name (see chapter
Functions > Transmission of the Display Name), text messages can be sent
and signallised accordingly.

Switching Alarm Device On/Off

If alarm device is enabled, an internal call of the subscriber is signaled as an alarm call on a
system telephone.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• System telephone that supports signalling for alarm devices (optional, see telephone
manual)
1. Open the following page:
• For admin: Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Settings
• For user: Subscriber Properties > Settings.
2. In the list field at the top, select the subscriber in question by his name or number.
3. Select or clear the Alarm device check box.
