3. Select or clear the check boxes for the required authorisations for the individual
contact groups:
• Read access:
Note: Read access is the only authorisation that can be assigned to contact
groups of the type Google contact group.
• Write access:
Note: You must select the Read access check box before you select the
Write access check box.
• All:
Note: If you have selected this check box, the user is assigned read and write
access to all the contact groups. The tick is hidden as soon as you save your
changes and leave the page.

New contacts are automatically assigned to the specified standard contact groups either as
soon as they are created (when you click the
or from the call data list. However, contacts that have been created by importing an address
book file are not automatically assigned to a standard contact group.
You can define one or more contact group(s) as your standard contact group. If you are logged
on as a user, you must define at least one contact group as your standard contact group before
you can create a contact. This is because users cannot create a contact without a contact
group.
A Google contact group cannot be used as standard contact group.
