Setting Contact Groups for Export to the LDAP Server
Use this setting to specify which contact groups are transferred to the LDAP server and
therefore also to the IP end devices. You can select up to 5 of the contact groups configured in
the address books for export to the LDAP server.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• At least one contact group that is configured in the address books
1. Open the page User data > Address books > Settings.
If you have created contact groups in the address books, these are displayed in the
list fields in the Exported contact groups line.
2. Select the required contact groups in the list fields for the Exported contact groups
line.

Entering Passwords for Exported Contact Groups

If you want to set restrictions on which contact groups can be exported to the IP end devices,
assign passwords when you export selected contact groups.

Caution: A high level does not necessarily indicate a secure
password as this can also be reached by entering names and birth
dates in connection with special characters. However, names and
birth dates should not be used as passwords.
• To create a secure password you can consult, for example, the
guidelines of the German Federal Office for Information Security
(BSI, in German).
Caution: Visible passwords constitute a security risk.
• After entering the PIN/password, click on

Mask passwords.
