4. Click D-channel output via IP page.
Further steps:
• Select the logging type (D-channel decoder or syslog server).

Selecting the Logging Type of Connection Data

Connection data can be logged using the D-channel decoder PC program or on a syslog server
configured for this purpose.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page Administration > Logging.
2. In the Logging system list field, select on of the available options.
Important: If Logging enabled is enabled and D-channel has been
selected, anyone within the network can record a D-channel protocol over IP.
A D-channel protocol also displays sensitive data, such as call connection
data. That is why you should only enable the Logging enabled function if
you need to create logs for error analysis purposes.
Further steps:
• If you have selected D-channel, install the D-channel decoder PC program and initiate
logging (see chapter Service and Maintenance > Service Data > Selecting the Logging
Type of Connection Data > Recording the D-Channel Protocol).
• If you have selected Syslog, enter the IP address and the port of the syslog server (see
chapter Service and Maintenance > Service Data > Selecting the Logging Type of
Connection Data > Configuring the Syslog Server).
