Entering the LDAP Server's User Name

The user name is needed for authentification of IP end devices on the LDAP server so that they
have (only read) access to all the contact data that is currently present on the LDAP server. A
part of the user name, the simplified user name, can be changed.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page User data > Address books > Settings.
2. Enter a name in the Simplified user name entry field.

Entering the LDAP Server's Password

Passwords are needed for authentification of IP end devices on the LDAP server so that they
have (read only) access to all the contact data that is currently present on the LDAP server.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page User data > Address books > Settings.
2. Enter the password in the Password entry field. Possible entries:
8 to 32 digits
Digits:
Characters: a- z, A- Z, no German umlauts and ß
Special characters
Note:
To change current passwords, click on
A coloured bar under the entry field shows the security level of the password
(red = low level, green = high level).
Passwords with a low security level can not be saved.
