Configuring a Second Ringer for Door Calls

Configuring a Second Ringer for Door Calls
A second ringer can additionally be installed at locations where ringing of the telephone will not
always be heard. It will then be triggered by a relay with the operating mode second ringer
which is assigned to the door call.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for door calls
• Separately for configurations
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Created door call
• Created relay with operating mode Second ringer
1. Open the page Devices > Door terminals.
2. Click
in the line of the corresponding door call.
3. In the Second ringer list field select one of the existing relays.

Creating a Relay and Assigning it to the Door Terminal

The door terminal can be assigned a relay with one of the three operating modes speaking,
door opener and light. For a detailed description of the operating modes, refer to the chapter
Functions > Relays (Actuators) > Relay Operating Modes.
A relay used for this purpose can, for example, be part of a connected door terminal or be
connected to the same port (a/b Switching Module). Alternatively, it is also possible to use a
relay for the door function which is part of another connected device (e. g. an IP switch relay).
In this case it must first be created in the configuration of the PBX as part of this other device
(see chapter Functions > Relays (Actuators)) and then be assigned to the door terminal. It then
remains part of this other device in the configuration of the PBX, but takes over the selected
door function for the door terminal.
Proceed as follows:
• Use the configuration manager
