Configuring the Local Area Code

2. In the Country code entry field, enter the country code for the location of the instal-

lation. Possible entries:

Digits (e.g.: 0049 for Germany)

Configuring the Local Area Code

The area codes are necessary for some functions of the PBX (e.g. Call Through, Call

restrictors/Call deblockers).

Note: The prefixes for Voice over IP are set individually for each account

(Public switched tel. networks > Voice over IP (VoIP) > Accounts >

Proceed as follows:

• Using the configuration manager

1. Open the page Public switched tel. networks > Exchange line request.

2. In the Area code entry field, enter the local area code for the location of the instal-

lation. Possible entries:

Digits (e.g.: 030 for Berlin)

Note: Some countries (e.g. Denmark, Greece, Luxembourg) do not have a

fixed number sequence for their area codes. If this also applies to the location

at which the PBX is installed, you do not need to enter an area code.
