Command Reference Guide Line (Console) Interface Command Set
login
Use the login command to enable security login on the line session. Additionally, it is necessary to
configure the password using the command password <password> on page 1478. Use the no form of this
command to disable the login feature.
Syntax Description
No subcommands.
Default Values
By default, secure login is disabled.

Usage Examples
The following example enables the security login feature and specifies a password (mypassword) on the
available console session:
(config)#line console 0
(config-console 0)#login
(config-con 0)#password mypassword
