Command Reference Guide
ip mtu <size>
Use the ip mtu command to configure the Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) maximum transmission unit
(MTU) size for the active interface. Use the no form of this command to return to the default value.

Configures the window size for transmitted IPv4 packets. The valid ranges
for the various interfaces are listed below:
ATM subinterfaces
BVIs
Demand interfaces
Ethernet interfaces (all types)
FDL interfaces
Frame Relay subinterfaces
HDLC interfaces (NetVanta 5305)
HDLC interfaces (all other NetVanta products) 64 to 2100
Loopback interfaces
PPP interfaces (NetVanta 5305)
PPP interfaces (all other NetVanta products) 64 to 2100
Tunnel interfaces
The default values for the various interfaces are listed below:

BVIs
Demand interfaces
Ethernet interfaces (all types)
FDL interfaces
Frame Relay subinterfaces
HDLC interfaces
Loopback interfaces
PPP interfaces

Command was introduced.
