Command Reference Guide
loopback
Use the loopback command to initiate or remove a loopback. Use the no loopback command to disable all
loopbacks. Variations of this command include:
loopback dce
loopback dte
loopback line
loopback remote
loopback none

Default Values
By default, no loopbacks are active.

Usage Examples
The following example initiates a local line loopback on the high speed serial interface (HSSI):
(config)#interface hssi 1/1
(config-hssi 1/1)#loopback line

Initiates a loopback on the data communication equipment (DCE).
Initiates a loopback on the data terminal equipment (DTE).
Initiates a local line loopback.
Initiates a remote line loopback.
Removes an active loopback.
