Command Reference Guide
port-auth auth-mode
Use the port-auth auth-mode command to configure the authentication mode. Use the no form of this
command to return to the default setting. Variations of this command include:
port-auth auth-mode mac-based
port-auth auth-mode port-based

Usage Examples
The following example configures the unit for MAC-based authentication mode:
(config)#interface ethernet 0/1
(config-eth 0/1)#port-auth auth-mode mac-based

Specifies a medium access control (MAC)-based authentication mode.
Each host must authenticate separately.
Specifies a port-based authentication mode. Only a single host can
participate in the authentication process.
