Configuring the Exchange Line Access Number

The exchange line access number is required to request an external line (exception: direct
exchange access and automatic exchange line request).
Note: An available external line is indicated by the external dial tone after the
exchange line access number has been dialled. The external number can
then be dialled.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
• Automatic exchange line request disabled
1. Open the page Public switched tel. networks > Exchange line request.
2. In the Exchange line access number entry field, change the exchange line access
number. Possible entries:
Digits in the range of
Note:
The factory setting for the exchange line access number on the PBX is 0. This
number is not effective at first because automatic exchange line request is
active in the factory settings. Changing the exchange line access number is
only meaningful if another exchange line access number is normally used
(e.g., in England).
Note that changing the exchange line access number restricts the telephone
numbering plan.

Configuring the Country Code

The area codes are necessary for some functions of the PBX (e.g. Call Through, Call
restrictors/Call deblockers).
