Configuring the Update Server Address

Configuring the Update Server Address
The address for the update server must be configured for instant firmware updates via the
update server. The factory settings are already configured with the address of the update
server.
The configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page SERVICE > Firmware update/restart > Firmware update.
2. In the Address of the update server entry field under Instant firmware update,
enter the address of the update server. The following entries are possible.

Replacing Defective Firmware

If the new firmware proves to be defective, the previous version can be restored by carrying out
a new firmware update.
Important: The procedure described in the following is only necessary if a
firmware update via the configuration manager is no longer possible.
Requirements:
– Cover panel is removed
Warning: Touching voltage-carrying conductors or telephone connections
may cause a life-threatening electric shock.
• For some installation and maintenance work, it is necessary to open the
PBX while it is in operation. Close the casing after completing this work.
