Connect Devices to the Door/Switching Module

The COMpact TS module does not belong to the supply of extent. The
COMpact 2206 USB has 1 module slot (B) for this module. The
COMpact 4410 USB has 2 corresponding module slots (B and C).
Thanks to the module you can connect or control one door terminal,
each consists of a door handsfree system, a door opener and two door
keys. Herewith the door ringing to all internal subscribers will be possi-
ble as well as the door conversation and door opening.
In order to execute different switching and controlling processes, the
module has a total of three relays that have to be configured corre-
spondingly to the special purpose. Two of these relays are preconfig-
ured for controlling the door terminal. If no door terminal is to be control-
led, these relays can be reconfigured for other uses.
If you use the module slot B, the relays are numbered consecutively
from 1 to 3 in the configuration. If you use the module slot C (only
COMpact 4410 USB), the relays are numbered consecutively from 4 to
6.
In case that not both door key inputs are necessary in connection with
a door terminal, the inputs can be reconfigured to alarm contacts.
The three Light-Emitting Diodes on the module circuit board display the
activation status of the three relays.
LED switched on:Relay is switched on
LED switched off:Relay is switched off
To install a module, insert it in between the board rails and press it to
vertically the mainboard until clicks well into its position.
Disconnect the device from the 230 Volt power supply and
e
wait another 10 seconds before you plug a module in or
remove it.
As some of the component parts are sensitive to electrostatic dis-
charge, it is important to discharge yourself before touching the
mainboard with your hands or with tools. You should touch a
grounded metal device, such as a radiator or the case of a PC.
Advice for COMpact 4410 USB: Use a COMpact-TS Module
for door functions in slot B. The Announcement/Music on
Hold function will not be available if you use a COMpact TS
Module in slot C.
