Room Monitoring
The room monitoring function can be used for monitoring a room acoustically, for instance, for
monitoring a small child while she sleeps. The internal telephone in this room must be suitably
configured for this purpose.
The configured telephone can then be called by another internal telephone or by a password-
protected external telephone. The connection is established immediately and it is possible to
listen into the room.
Switching Room Monitoring On
Switching on can be carried out as follows:
• Using a character string on the internal telephone
• On the system telephone COMfortel 1100/1500/2500/2500 AB/VoIP 2500 AB using the
menu/function key (see the telephone manual)
1. Pick up the receiver of the internal telephone that is located in the room to be
monitored.
2. Dial ##8*61#.
3. Lay the receiver next to the telephone.
Note:
No calls can be made from the configured telephone and no normal calls
can be taken on the telephone.
At the same time, room monitoring can only be enabled on one internal
telephone on the PBX.
Carrying out Room Monitoring
Performing this procedure can be carried out as follows:
• On an internal telephone
• On an external telephone
