Switching the DHCP Client On/Off

Identification
The PBX is integrated into an existing network. To make sure the PBX can be identified in this
network, several settings must be configured.
Note: In the factory settings, the DHCP client is enabled and the PBX is
accessible via the permanent IP address 169.254.1.240.
Switching the DHCP Client On/Off
If the DHCP client function has been enabled, the PBX automatically receives its IP address
from an DHCP server.
The
DHCP
client can be enabled/disabled as follows made:
• Via the configuration manager
• Using a character string on the internal telephone
Switching DHCP Client On/Off via the Configuration Manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Server configuration > Network.
Note: Switching this on/off is also provided during the quick configuration
using the configuration wizard.
2. Select or clear the Receive the IP address automatically (DHCP client) check box
under Ethernet configuration.
Enables the DHCP client.
Disables the DHCP client.
