Managing Voice Mailboxes and Fax Boxes
RSS Feed
Configuring RSS Feeds
RSS Feed
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based file format. A subscribed RSS feed automa-
tically delivers new messages which can then be read in special newsreaders or in current
browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3, Safari 5).
Configuring RSS Feeds
Configure RSS feeds as follows:
1. Enable RSS feed initiation for the desired voice mail and fax boxes so that incoming
messages (voice messages and faxes) are signaled by an RSS feed.
2. Select the topics that should be displayed in the RSS feeds. The following topics are
available:
Caller list
Voice mail list
Fax list
3. Subscribe to the RSS feeds. These topics are then made available on the browser
used via an RSS reader.
Switching RSS Feeds On/Off
If RSS feed initiation has been enabled, incoming messages (voice messages and faxes) are
signaled by an RSS feed. The RSS feed contains the following information:
• Name/telephone number of the voice mail/fax box
• Caller/sender
• Time (time, weekday, date)
• Message length
