Shading correction
Shading correction is implemented in hardware to achieve high-speed processing.
Analog image data sent from the PMT08A board (log amp board) is corrected for shading.
Shading correction compensates for differences in beam-collecting efficiency of the light-
collecting/scanning optics system in the main-scan direction.
Filtering
The image signal response is adjusted to achieve sharpness balance between main scan-
ning and subscanning.
