8.5 Replacing Side-Positioning Motor (MD1)
Replacement
(1) Remove the following cover.
Lower rear cover
"3. Removing and Reinstalling Covers"
(2) Cut the cable tie.
(3) Disconnect CNMD1.
(4) Remove MD1 together with the bracket.
(5) Remove MD1 from the bracket.
(6) Remove the timing belt wheel from MD1.
(7) Install to a new MD1 the timing belt wheel that was removed at step (6).
(8) For reinstallation, reverse the removal steps.
Put the timing belt onto the timing belt wheel of MD1 and then secure MD1 in place.
