3.2 Image Troubleshooting for Controller
Improper image (1)
No. 201
• Although the film characters and border are
outputted normally, an image itself is not generated.
No. 202 Improper image (2)
• An image with ß=0 is outputted normally. However,
the image is disturbed otherwise.

<Probable Causes>
• The reading system is faulty. (The high voltage is
not applied; the connector is not connected, etc.)
• The photomultiplier or HV (PMT08A board) is
faulty.
• Any of the SCN08A, IMG07B, IMG08A, IMG08B,
IMG08C, and MTH08A boards is faulty, or the
HDD and/or image memory is faulty.
<Check and Reference>
• Reset the machine, or power OFF the machine
and then back ON again, to perform self-
diagnostics during machine initialization. If the
results of the self-diagnostics indicate an error,
replace the relevant board.
"SCN08A Board"
• Check connection between each of the SCN08A,
IMG07B, IMG08A, IMG08B, IMG08C, and
MTH08A boards and their corresponding
connectors.
• Use the virtual image generation mode to isolate
the cause.
"10.10 Setting in Virtual Generation Mode for
Image Signal" in Maintenance Utility
<Probable Cause>
• The IMG08A board is faulty (the unsharp mask
memory is faulty).
<Check and Reference>
• Reset the machine, or power OFF the machine
and then back ON again, to perform self-
diagnostics during machine initialization. If the
results of the self-diagnostics indicate an error,
replace the relevant board.
