Setting Basic Device Properties
Parameters
ip‐address
mask ip‐mask
gateway ip‐gateway
Defaults
If not specified, ip‐mask will be set to the natural mask of the ip‐address and ip‐gateway will be set to
the ip‐address.
Mode
Switch command, Read‐Write.
Example
This example shows how to set the system IP address to 10.1.10.1 with a mask of 255.255.128.0 and
a default gateway of 10.1.0.1:
Matrix(rw)->set ip address 10.1.10.1 mask 255.255.128.0 gateway 10.1.10.1
clear ip address
Use this command to clear the system IP address.

clear ip address

This example shows how to clear the system IP address:
Matrix(rw)->clear ip address
show ip gratuitous-arp
Use this command to display the gratuitous ARP processing behavior.
Syntax
show ip gratuitous-arp

Sets the IP address for the system.
(Optional) Sets the system's subnet mask.
(Optional) Sets the system's default gateway (next‐hop device).
