ip forwarding

This command enables IP forwarding on your device. When enabled, your device routes IP
packets.
The no form disables IP forwarding on your device. Even when IP forwarding is not enabled,
the device can still work as an IP host; in particular, it can be managed by IP-based applications,
such as SNMP, Telnet and SSH.
Syntax
ip forwarding
no ip forwarding

Command
This command enables you to control which UDP broadcasts will be forwarded to the helper
address(es). A UDP broadcast will only be forwarded if the destination UDP port number in
the packet matches one of the port numbers specified using this command.
Refer to the IANA site (www.iana.org) for a list of assigned UDP port numbers for protocols
to forward using ip forward-protocol udp.
