RIP Commands

restart rip graceful

Use this command to force the RIP process to restart.
Syntax
restart rip graceful [grace-period <1-65535>]

After this command is executed, the RIP process immediately shuts down. It notifies the system

that RIP has performed a graceful shutdown. Routes that have been installed into the route
table by RIP are preserved until the specified grace-period expires.

Use this command to change the grace period of RIP graceful restart.
Use the no parameter with this command to disable this function.
