neighbor maximum-prefix

Use this command to control the number of prefixes that can be received from a neighbor.
Use the no parameter with this command to disable this function. Do not specify threshold to
apply the default threshold of 75% for the maximum number of prefixes before this is applied.

neighbor <neighborid> maximum-prefix <maximum>
no neighbor <neighborid> maximum-prefix [<maximum>]

The default threshold value is 75%. If the threshold value is not specified this default is applied.

The neighbor maximum-prefix command allows the configuration of a specified number
Usage
of prefixes that a BGP router is allowed to receive from a neighbor. When the warning-
only option is not used, if any extra prefixes are received, the router ends the peering. A
terminated peer, stays down until the clear ip bgp command is used.

Specifies the maximum number of prefixes permitted.
<1-100> Specifies the threshold value, 1 to 100 percent. 75% by default.
Only gives a warning message when the limit is exceeded.
