show tech-support

The show tech-support command generates system and debugging information for the
switch and saves it to a file. You can optionally limit it to display only information for a given
protocol. The command generates a large amount of output and the output is saved into a file.
The output file name can be specified by outfile option. If the output file already exists, a new
file name is generated with the current time stamp. Since output files may be too large for flash
on the switch we recommend saving files to an SD card whenever possible to avoid switch
lockup.
If all is specified the command captures the full list of information of the device. If bgp is
specified the command captures information specific to BGP, and so on. If system is specified
the command captures general system information of the device.

The show tech-support command by default captures all information for the switch.

about all protocols or specific protocols on your switch for troubleshooting purposes. The
output of this command can be provided to technical support representatives when reporting a
problem.
