BGP Commands

neighbor remove-private-AS

Use this command to remove the private Autonomous System (AS) number from outbound
updates.
Use the no parameter with this command to revert to default.
Syntax
neighbor <neighborid> remove-private-AS
no neighbor <neighborid> remove-private-AS

Mode
The private AS numbers range from <64512-65535>. Private AS numbers are not advertised
Usage
to the Internet. This command is used with external BGP peers only. The router removes the
AS numbers only if the update includes private AS numbers. If the update includes both private
and public AS numbers, the system treats it as an error.

command applies on all peers in the specified group.
